For over 50 years, Mr. Gasket® has been providing high performance auto parts to gearheads and racers around the world. Our founder, Joe Hrudka, was an avid racer who started crafting gaskets for his own ’57 Chevy race car back in 1964. Frustrated by gaskets that failed during races, Joe set out to design gaskets that could withstand the extreme pressures and temperatures inside performance engines.
Word of Joe’s indestructible gaskets quickly spread through the racing community. Racers started asking him to make custom gaskets for their cars, realizing that Mr. Gasket® gaskets helped them squeeze out every last ounce of horsepower from their engines. Then in 1968, Mr. Gasket released its first product catalog, offering specialized gaskets for a variety of makes and models.
From the Track to the Street
In the early days, Mr. Gasket® focused solely on the needs of racers. But as the muscle car era kicked off in the late 60s, we began expanding our catalog to service both track and street performance vehicles.
Mr. Gasket® gaskets were crucial in helping gearheads modify their muscle cars for more power. And with iconic cars like the Pontiac GTO, Dodge Charger, Plymouth ‘Cuda, and Ford Mustang hitting the streets, the demand for high performance parts was greater than ever.
Throughout the classic muscle car era of the 60s and 70s, Mr. Gasket® products could be found under the hoods of all the hottest cars, from Camaros and Chevelles to AMX and Barracudas. Even till this day, first generation Camaro owners rely on our parts to keep their vintage rides running strong.

By the 1980s, Mr. Gasket® expanded into a wide range of high performance parts beyond just gaskets. This included fuel pumps, regulators, carburetor parts, fuel line components, chrome engine dress up accessories, suspension parts, shifters, specialty tools, and more.

Unlike many competitors who outsource manufacturing overseas, Mr. Gasket® gaskets are proudly made at our Bowling Green, Kentucky facility. Producing gaskets domestically gives us complete quality control over materials, tolerances, tooling and production methods. Our in-house engineering and manufacturing ensures the highest quality standards are met with every gasket.
